Abstract
The Trail of Tears is the removal of the Indians and forced relocation from their homes in Southeastern parts of the US after the Indian Removal Act of 1830 Many of the primaeval American Tribes were forced to move to Oklahoma. During the 19th century the US was growing at a rapid pace. The white hu universeness considered the Indians to be an obstacle in their eagerness to acquire get to raise cotton. Therefore the settlers pressured the US g everyplacenment to take over Indian earthly concern. During the years from 1814 to 1824 Jackson had negotiated treaties which ultimately forced the Natives from their land in the east in exchange for land in the west. The Natives agreed to this in hopes that they might be able to withhold some of their land and to avoid white harassment. The jurisprudence stated that the Indians were able to stay on lands within the US but were not able to hold title to them. This was collect to the fact that their right to stay on the land came sulphur to the US right of discovery.
