A Midsummer wickednesss dreaming (behind the scenes) is a Glenn Elston directed comedy dawdle performed by the Australian Shakespeare Company. This group has often performed in outdoor theatre and this forgather is no exception, being performed out in the Royal botanic Gardens. The meet stars include Kevin Hopkins and Ross Williams in this play based around the creation of A Midsummer Nights trance.
The play involves the Mechanicals from A Midsummer Nights Dream, performing their ideas for a play to present at the Dukes wedding to a test earshot. The plays performed included Shakespeares works including Richard II and Hamlet, presented downstairs a range of styles of theatre.
The actors in A Midsummer Nights Dream (behind the scenes) have been involved with most of the Australian Shakespeare Company and other things such as TV serial and films. Kevin Hopkins as Peter Quince, is very over the top and his bad spandex suit was rather crude but funny. One famed character was Ross Williams as Snug, who was always behind in concord The Mechanicals actions and says approximately unexpected things.
The play is performed outside on a basic stage shape; however, one of the most reoccurring elements is the play members in character interacting with the earshot.

This in turn puts the audience really inside the play, including at one point where they got two audience members up on to the stage. Being outside does mean that on that point can be distractions such as the weather and normal city noises as well as other audience members.
There is not particularly much structure in the plot of A Midsummer Nights Dream (behind the scenes), however the whole play is more of just a series of parodied comedy acts starring the same characters.
